touchPlan is a flight planning program for Apple iPhones and iPod touches that enables pilots to create and store flight plan routes. touchPlan facilitates the creation of routes via its internal database of all north american airports, navaids, victor airways and jet routes.
touchPlan allows flight plan routes to created via any combination of waypoints and airways. touchPlan can also access NOAA winds aloft data (for the US) and automatically calculates ground speed as well time enroute based on these winds.
touchPlan has an integrated mapping function that enables the flight plan route to be overlayed on either a politcal map, topological map, or satellite image.
touchPlan's internal database and winds aloft caching capabilities allow access to flight planning functions even when no Internet connection is available (with the exception of certain web-based maps).
